IVACARE PLUS

Contains: 10mg/ml Ivermectin and 100mg/ml Clorsulon

Indications Cattle:  For the effective treatment and control of the following harmful species of gastrointestinal worms, lungworm, liver flukes, mites and lice.

Gastrointestinal nematodes:  For the treatment and control of the following mature and immature roundworms:  Ostertagia ostertagi (including inhibited fourth stage larvae, O.lyrata (Brown stomach worm), Trichostrongylus axei (Stomach hair worm), T.colubriformis (Intestinal hair worm), Cooperia oncophora, C.punctata (Small intestine worm), Bunostomum phlebotomum (Hookworm), Oesophagostomum radiatum (Nodule worm), and adult stages of Nematodirus helvetianus and N.spathiger (Thin necked intestinal worm).

Lungworms:  Adult and immature Dictyocaulus viviparous.

lus given at the recommended dose rate of 1ml/50kg bodyweight effectively controls infections with Osterttagia spp. acquired up to at least 14 days after treatment, Cooperia spp. acquired up to at least 7 days after treatment, and Dictyocaulus viviparous and Oesophagostomum radiatum acquired up to at least 21 days after treatment.

Suckling lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus. Mites: Psoroptes spp. Liver flues: Fasciola hepatica (adults) Effective as an aid in the control of: Biting lice: Damalinia bovis. Mites: Chorioptes bovis. Life to Expiry: 18 months from date of manufacture.

Withholding Period Cattle:

Meat – Cattle producing meat and offal for human consumption must not be slaughtered during or within 28 days of last treatment.  Bobby calves born to treated cows must not be slaughtered within 28 days of treatment of the cow.

Milk – Milk intended for human consumption must be discarded during treatment and for 35 days following the last treatment.

Storage: Store below 25°C.  Protect from light.

Directions for Use: Shake well before use.

Ivacare Plus is ready to use through standard equipment.  Draft animals into lines of similar body weight, then dose according to weight of heaviest animal in the line.  Check accuracy of injection guns regularly.  Adjust doses according to the weight of animals to avoid overdosing.  A representative sample of animals should be weighted before treatment either with scales or a weighband.  Dose rate to be based on heaviest cattle in each group.  Do not underdose.  Where there is a large variation in size within the group, draft into two or more lines based on bodyweight to avoid excessive overdosing.
